Home is where the heart is

Home is where the heart is

Home is more than just a place. Home is more than sticks and stones and mortar. Home is more than a three bedroom downtown bungalow. Home is where we define our love and freely express ourselves.
It’s where we choose to start and grow our families. It’s where we mark the walls to measure our children’s growth. It’s where we create memories and celebrate traditions.
It’s where we decorate for Valentine’s Day, birthdays, Christmas, Hanukkah, Easter, Halloween and Thanksgiving and where our friends and family come together for holiday meals and camaraderie.
It’s where we light our sparklers and have Fourth of July picnics and barbecues and outside movie nights. It’s where we leave our porch lights on waiting for our loved ones to get home. It’s where we pace the floors waiting to hear about new additions to our family. It’s where we safely pitch our tents for the kids and their friends for camp night.
It’s where we wipe the tears and bandage the wounds. It’s where we park the shiny new car or the new boat.
It’s the place where we wash our car and mow our lawns on the weekends. It’s where we clean cluttered garages and have Saturday morning garage sales. It’s where kids set up lemonade stands.
It’s a place where we display our prized possessions and hang our family photos.
It’s a place where we feel safe and secure from the outside world.
Home is more than good $$$s and Sense. Home is where the heart is.
