KB Home is offering buyers an alternative to fluctuating energy bills at its upcoming Legato at Westpark community in Roseville, which is the builder’s first Sacramento-area community that includes solar power systems with no jump in price tag. KB Home said in a statement that its “powerful photovoltaic systems” can help homeowners save on their monthly energy bills for years to come, while also promoting environmentally friendly communities.

According KB homes, all homes at Legato will include a standard 1.5 kW solar power system, and buyers can also choose to upgrade to a more powerful system to lower their bills further. Representatives for KB added that solar power systems can also help qualify homeowners for a federal tax credit.
